ASCENSION MEN’S MONASTERY IN BANCHENY
Built in 1994
Location: near Bancheny village, Hertsa district, Chernivtsi oblast
Guardian: Mykhailo Zhar
The monastery has two (Ascension and Holy Triple) churches. The third church is being built.
Due to Guardian’s organizing abilities the construction of child house started here in 2000. Now it's bringing up more than 220 children some of who are orphans or materially handicapped.
