The museum has two permanent exhibitions devoted to various events.

The first floor describes the aviation history. Visitors have an opportunity to learn the history of aeronautics and aircraft starting from Mozhayskiy’s "flying tool” and Wright brothers’ aircraft to the most modern aircraft designs. It has a number of replica planes from both World Wars, record planes and the planes of ace pilots. All replicas of historical aircraft are completely accurate.

The museum has a collection of planes from Antonov Design Bureau created to O.K.Antonov’s 100^th anniversary.

The exhibits of the second floor are devoted to space explorations.

The early space era (4^th October 1957) is represented by models of the first man-made Earth satellites and rockets. A considerable part of the exhibition tells about Yuri Gagarin’s first human space flight on 12th April 1961 and the flights by G.Titov, A.Nikolayev, P.Popovych, V.Bykovsky and Valentina Tereshkova, the first woman space pilot.

Besides achievements of the former USSR the space exhibit also informs about U.S. space programs from suborbital flights to the Space Shuttle program, Moon expeditions by Apollo spaceships, the joint USSR-U.S. "Soyuz” – "Apollo” program.

The exhibit shows post stamps, post cards, badges, posters, photos and scaled replica.

A considerable part is devoted to Leonid Kadenyuk, the first astronaut of independent Ukraine. Unique exhibits include gifts from the National Aerospace Agency of Ukraine, NASA, cosmonauts, astronauts and other organizations and individuals.
